This book took place in Zimbabwe in the future: 2,194. It has a lot of freaky spiritual ideas that will suck you in without your knowing, I do NOT recommend this book. I realized what I was reading 3/4 of the way through. The author, Nancy Farmer, had some very creative ideas, but nothing I would want to think about all the time.

Even though it had a Newberry honor on it I didn’t like this book very much at all because it made me feel really wierd. It had witch craft in it.
